KNITTING STUDY GROUP

BF04-003The Knitting Study Group meets once a month, on the third Wednesday,  from 6:00 to  8:00 p.m.  Our next meeting is July 20th!

We meet at Ewe and Me, 1045K Garden of the Gods Road
. It’s not necessary to be a member of Front Range Fiber Artisans, but most of our members are at this time.
We have a few projects planned, and will post the month’s projects in Gmail, Facebook, and Ravelry prior to the meeting. We have some fun events planned including charity knitting, techniques taught by members, and a group knitting project where we’ll share each others’ work to create an item for us to use and keep. It should be a lot of fun!
For any questions, please contact either myself, Marianne Snygg @ 719-964-9682 or mcsnygg@msn.com or Anna Isherwood @ 719-306-5744 or anna.isherwood@gmail.com.

BEGINNING WEAVERS STUDY GROUP

Weaving by Jane Nearing

Weaving by Jane Nearing

New weavers found they had many questions about very basic procedures for setting up their loom, for determining sett, reading a draft, creating their next woven piece; how to enlarge or telescope a pattern, where to go for solutions to problems, which fiber to use for a particular project, etc., so they came together and formed this study group.

The main purpose of this study group is to help answer questions, concerns, problems, how-to’s, solutions, etc., we focus on this. However, as we’ve evolved, we realized we needed to have a point of focus besides just Q&A discussions. To that end, we vote on and set ourselves goals to be reached each year and work together towards achieving those goals.

WHEN: Second Monday of the month from 5:15p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Colorado Springs, CO.

QUESTIONS: Contact us (BWSG in subject line) at FrontRangeFiber@gmail.com
